Information technology's been said that if you love something, you have to let it go. And, dear friends, it is fourth dimension for us to let Blueprint*Sponge go. Information technology'south time for usa to close this wild and wonderful affiliate and head out into the nifty unknown. While we are sad to say farewell to the friends, colleagues, and community that we've found here, we know that we are stepping into this next chapter filled with the love, support, and care yous've so graciously shared with the states over the past xv years.

Design*Sponge began as one girl behind a screen, and has grown into a beautiful, diverse, and ever-expanding network of friends, collaborators, confidants, and support systems. You've taught u.s.a. all how to be ameliorate listeners, better sharers, amend members of our community and, well-nigh chiefly, yous've taught us that what makes a community special are the people in information technology.

I know I speak for all of the states at Design*Sponge when I say we are leaving here today with null simply gratitude for what nosotros take all experienced here. You've allowed us to share thousands of stories, homes, personal moments, and lessons that have not just expanded our minds, but our hearts and our agreement of the world as well. Your support has given us the courage to dream big, accept risks, and push ourselves harder and further than nosotros knew we could.

From day 1, all of you have been then much more than readers of a blog. You've get our friends, our co-workers, our support systems, and our family. Nosotros've traveled across the earth these past 15 years and have had the honour and joy of getting to know so many of you in person. Thank yous for not simply reading Design*Sponge online, just for letting united states get to know you in real life, also. Yous've shared memories and stories of your highest highs and lowest lows and we've been able to support each other in those moments in real and meaningful means.

Like whatsoever community, I know nosotros haven't e'er met the expectations we've set out to, and we thank y'all from the bottom of our hearts for giving us the grace and understanding to do better when we needed to and to pick ourselves support when we've fallen. Your dedication, support, and honesty take allowed this site to become something different and something more than a collection of beautiful pictures — you lot've turned it into a real abode. A abode that has pretty, glossy parts, merely also worn-in, loved-on parts that are familiar and make the states feel welcome.

I am so grateful to take had the privilege to steer this small only mighty send. It has been the greatest honor of my life and so far to work among a team of people who are and so unendingly dedicated to learning, growing, and sharing stories that remind usa that blueprint is nearly much more than the things we put in our houses — it'due south about the people, the challenges, and the defining moments that plow those houses into homes.

To my squad, thank you. You have shown me great patience, trust, and support. I hope I have done my best to testify you how much I appreciate and value that generous gift. While our work together here is done, I know we will go on to connect and overlap in each other'south next capacity. And I hope you all know that I volition always be here for each and every one of you, always. You have all been such dedicated and caring writers, but more importantly, you've been infrequent human beings. And it'due south an honor to know each of you and phone call you my friend. Thank you for making Pattern*Sponge what information technology is and will always be: a identify for friends to run across, connect, and larn from each other.

To our customs, give thanks you lot. Your inventiveness, exuberance, multifariousness, energy, and talent take been our driving force since mean solar day i. What y'all all exercise is across words. You are artists, designers, makers, innovators, dreamers, and doers. And I am forever grateful that yous all exist in our earth. You have inspired me to exercise ameliorate, work harder, and grow at every pace of the journey and Design*Sponge would not exist without the beauty and honesty you bring into the world every solar day. Thank you lot. Non simply for inspiring Design*Sponge from mean solar day one, only for continuing to remind us that design is and so much more than than things, it'due south about people and connections and building something meaningful.

Earlier this month nosotros gathered outside of Philadelphia to celebrate xv years of Pattern*Sponge with our friends at Terrain. They accept so kindly supported us since the early days and they generously offered to throw united states of america a bye party to mark this bittersweet occasion. Information technology was an evening full of love, hugs, tears, and reminiscing that I am forever grateful for. I am likewise grateful to Ian Fursa who filmed our farewell party and created a short 5-infinitesimal film reflecting on the history of Pattern*Sponge and what information technology has meant to all of us to work on this project together. The final result is a love letter to this site, our community, our team, and the memories we've shared together. I hope you'll watch and join us in 1 last moment of reflection, dear, and gratitude.

At that place volition never exist enough words to express the depth and sincerity of my gratitude for all that you accept given usa and all the love y'all accept shown united states of america.
